Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Shaykh Mahmoud Al-Assal is an Egyptian Al-Azhar graduate and leading Qirāʾāt scholar, holding multiple Qur’anic Ijāzāt including the Ten Qirāʾāt, all earned with top academic distinction. With over 13 years of teaching experience, he is the Co-Founder and Director of Shaykhi Academy and a senior instructor in advanced Tajwīd, Qirāʾāt, and Qur’an studies for Arabic and non-Arabic speakers.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is the Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy, an Al-Azhar graduate in Islamic Studies, a Hafiz of the Qur’an, and a holder of multiple Ijazat in various Qira’at. He teaches Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic sciences online, authored the academy’s official curriculum Al-Menhaj, and also serves as Supervisor and Education Manager, with additional training in personal and professional development.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a senior Qur’an instructor and professional translator in Cairo, an honors graduate of Al-Azhar University with a degree in Islamic Studies in English. A Hafiz since age eleven with multiple ijazāt, he has extensive experience teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies, translating Islamic and legal texts, and serving as an imam.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker and Al-Azhar University pharmacy graduate with extensive Islamic studies in Arabic, Tajweed, Fiqh, Tafseer, and Seerah. He is a Hafiz of the Qur’an, holds Ijazat in Asem Qira’at, and has wide experience teaching Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Arabic to non-native speakers.
Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher
Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar graduate in Islamic Studies who memorized the Qur’an at a young age and is currently pursuing his Ijazah. With over two years of teaching experience and educational diplomas, he delivers Qur’an and Islamic sciences to learners of all ages in a clear and engaging manner.
Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher
Mr. Abdullah Moftah is a proficient Qur’an instructor and native Egyptian Arabic speaker, specializing in Islamic Studies in English at Al-Azhar University. He also serves as an imam and preacher and holds an official license in the recitation of ‘Asim Barawiyyah.
Qur’an teacher
Mr. Nour Eddin Mahmoud is an Egyptian Qur’an teacher and Al-Azhar student who memorized the Qur’an at a young age and holds multiple Ijazahs in Qira’at, Tajweed, and Hadith. He has been teaching Arabic and non-Arabic speakers since 2021, using clear explanations, bilingual communication, and engaging educational methods, especially for children.
Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher
Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker, fluent in English and French, and a medical student. He teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers using clear methods, alongside active involvement in self-development and institutional work.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is a distinguished Al-Azhar graduate with over ten years of experience teaching Qur’an, Tajweed, basic Arabic, and Islamic studies to children and women of all ages. She is known for her clear, motivating teaching style, strong focus on accurate recitation and memorization, and holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry is a 29-year-old native Arabic speaker and Qur’an teacher with experience teaching online. She studied Tajweed at Daar Iqraa and has memorized key portions of the Qur’an with excellent grades. She is also a published writer and actively participates in charitable initiatives.
Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt
Ms. Kholoud Hamada is an Egyptian Qur’an teacher who has memorized the Holy Qur’an, mastered Tajweed, and is fluent in Arabic and English. With over three years of teaching experience, she effectively engages learners of all ages and is currently pursuing an Ijazah in ‘Asim while holding an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal.

Asmaa Gohar is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker and Al-Azhar graduate with over six years of experience teaching Qur’an with Tajweed, Arabic (MSA and Egyptian dialect), and Islamic studies to non-native speakers. She uses interactive, gamified methods and a patient, flexible approach to make learning clear, engaging, and goal-oriented for students at all levels.
